A small, chosen collection of Android software, arranged with a note beside each entry explaining why it is here.
A store shows you everything and asks you to sort it out. Curated APKs does the sorting first: an app is only admitted once someone has decided, on its own merits, that it belongs, and most do not make it in.
An app is considered for the collection because it is genuine, actively maintained, and does what it claims without asking for more than it needs. Being admitted is not automatic, and nothing here paid for its place.
Each page in the collection is finished in advance and served exactly as written, so it opens the same way on a slow connection as on a fast one.
If an app belongs in this collection, or a note no longer fits the app it describes, write in through the contact form and it will be considered.
Software cloned from another listing, copies with paid features unlocked without permission, and anything claiming a developer name it does not own. These are excluded on principle, along with a great many apps that are simply fine and nothing more.
Curated APKs is put together by a small group who would rather leave an app out than include it just to make a category look fuller.
Entries are reconsidered as apps change, and one that stops being maintained is quietly removed rather than left in the collection on the strength of an old note.
What is left out says as much as what is kept in.
